Here we go again

It's June 5th, twenty more days and I will be 34 years old. What's happened in the years before and what's in the works for the future? Well, funny you asked because that's what you'll be finding out here.

I should probably introduce myself a bit before we get started that might help you figure out if reading my thoughts and adventures is something you really want to invest time in or not. I live in Texas, just outside of the incredible city of Austin. I moved here from California but I was born and raised in Maryland. When I think those romanticized thoughts of home, it's Maryland that I think of. I knit. I read. I laugh an awful lot. I think I make others laugh just as much as I laugh. I have a husband I love going on adventures with, and we have the ability to make a simple trip to the home improvement store an adventure. We also have a dog, Captain, who will be making many an appearance here. We're convinced Captain thinks he is human and as a result he does some of the weirdest, funniest, at at times most exasperating things we've seen in a dog.

So, that's not all there is to me and my world, if it was I'd put it on a business card, not start a blog with the idea of daily postings. I will say I am looking forward to the next few years. I think big and happy things are coming for me and the next 34 years will be even better than the first 34. We'll have to revisit this statement when I'm 68 and see just how much truth there was in it.

Thanks for joining me here, I hope I don't disappoint.
